MBBS eligibility criteria for Indian students in Russia are relaxed compared to MBBS in India

  • No entrance test will be conducted for pursuing MBBS education in Russia. The only thing is that the candidate has to pass the NEET entrance test.
  • The age of the candidate should be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of the admission process. The maximum age limit is 25 as of 31st December of the year of the admission process.
  • Candidates must have 50% in PCB for General Candidates and 40% for Reserved Category students.
  • Before applying for MBBS abroad, candidates must submit a Nationality Certificate.
  • Entrance exams like IELTS and TOEFL are not required.
  • There is no capitation and donation fee.
  • MBBS in Russia is recognized by the NMC and the WHO.

Step 1: Select the Medical University to which you want to take admitted.

Step 2: Fill out the application form in the online portal of the university or mail it to their admission committee.

Step 3: Attach and submit all the important documents required.

Step 4: After reviewing your papers, the university will send you an admission/invitation letter.

Step 5: After receiving the invitation letters from the university, they have to pay the first-year tuition fee to confirm their admission.

Step 6: Apply for a Student Visa with an Invitation Letter and Payment Receipt. Once you have completed all the procedures and obtained the student visa, you are ready to go for your MBBS course.

The duration of the MBBS course in Russia varies with the model of study at the university. There are three types of universities, with courses ranging from 5.8 years to 6.8 years:

    1. The duration of the MBBS course for English Medium Universities is 6.8 years. It also includes a one-year internship.
    2. The duration of the MBBS degree course for bilingual or full-time Russian medium universities is 5.8 years, including one year of internship and one year of Russian language study.
