On July 19, 2005, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan founded the Tashkent Medical Academy. With a total enrollment of 4662 students, the school first developed faculties like general medicine, pedagogy, and nursing. The institute trains 205 doctors and over 765 postgraduate students. The MBBS program at Tashkent Medical Academy is built around the production of highly skilled professionals on 58 chairs through the development of clinical skills. The institute put into practice “On coordination and monitoring of research works” as part of a grant on the environment and human health. The institute is home to seven different scientific councils. The Tashkent Medical Academy has partnered with a number of foreign departments of education and research organisations in order to foster relationships with eminent higher education institutions both inside and outside of the NIS. MCI, UNESCO, and WHO all acknowledge the university.

The First Tashkent State Medical Institute offers the following accommodations for international students. The institute has 5 student residence halls with a combined capacity of 1700 students. The TMA administration and the Directorate of the Dormitory oversee the hostels in accordance with the academy’s rules. To keep strangers out of the hostel and to protect the students’ safety, a turnstile has been installed at the entrance. Each district guard is given a certain set of student housing. In addition to a kitchen, computer rooms, and library, each hostel provides a common area with a contemporary TV and furniture.
