Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy (TUMP) was founded as a campus of Mountainous Medical University on July 23, 1968 (Government Council Decision No.116/CP). The university has access to a number of clinical practice facilities, including Thai Nguyen National Hospital, specialized provincial hospitals, district hospitals in Thai Nguyen, and general hospitals in neighboring provinces, all of which are equipped with modern technology and staffed by highly qualified visiting lecturers.
Along with consistently enhancing the quality of its training, the university also develops and expands the types of training available to satisfy the needs of society. Currently, official and ongoing training for six undergraduate fields is available: Medical doctor, doctor of preventive medicine, doctor of dental and oral surgery, bachelor of nursing, bachelor of science in pharmacy, and bachelor of medical laboratory technology. Postgraduate training consists of 33 disciplines, including doctoral degrees, master’s degrees, resident doctors, specialization level 1, and others. Every year, a variety of short-term and continuing education courses are offered, each designed to fulfill the current needs of society, which is greatly appreciated.
As part of the trend towards international integration and ongoing innovation and development, the university has been strengthening and expanding cooperation in training and scientific research with other countries, including the United States, Belgium, the Netherlands, Korea, Japan, China, and Thailand.

- Admission Process
Step 1: Fill out the online application given by the university. Fill out the course registration form on our website, and we will proceed with the steps listed below.
Step 2: Print the application. Send the signed form and the required documents indicated below to the university.
Step 3: Scan the documents and send an email to the admissions office with the subject line ‘Application for Admission’ in the body.
Step 4: Documents can only be submitted by the application date. Please submit all documentation before the deadline.
Step 5: After Medical University has verified the student’s documentation, the University will issue the student either an acceptance or rejection letter.
