Situated in Oradea, in the northwest of Romania, the institution of Oradea (Universitatea din Oradea) is a public institution with accreditation. The institution offers 151 post-graduate specialist degrees and 123 undergraduate subjects of study throughout its 15 faculties. The University of Oradea employs 1600 individuals, 935 of whom work as teachers, and enrolls approximately 19,000 students in all academic programs. 

The University of Oradea works with 214 colleges, organizations, and businesses from 31 different nations. It is incorporated into the Erasmus and Socrates programs of the European Union. More than eight hundred international students are enrolled in different faculties.The University of Oradea features 60 lecture and seminar rooms, 22 amphitheaters with a combined capacity of 1940 seats, and three lecture halls with 640 seats each. 

Two boarding student dorms and a 200-seat dining hall are features of the university’s amenities. The new library is now being built and will rank among the biggest in Romania when it is finished. At Stâna de Vale, amid the Apuseni highlands of Bihor county, the University of Oradea maintains an auxiliary site that offers lodging in addition to educational and recreational amenities.

 One of the most significant social, cultural, and economic hubs in the western region of Romania is Oradea. Situated on the Crișana plain, in the northwest of the country, the city is bisected into about equal parts by the Crișul Repede River that meanders through its surroundings. Oradea is the tenth largest city in Romania and is situated roughly 10 km (6.2 mi) from Borș, one of the most significant crossing places on Romania’s border with Hungary. It is located in the area where the Crișana-Banat extended plain and the Apuseni Mountains meet, encompassing 11,556 hectares (28,560 acres). 

Oradea is one of the most livable cities in Romania and has a good level of living in comparison to other cities. Some of the biggest businesses in Romania are based in the city, which is a significant industrial hub in the area. Oradea is not just a major economic center but also a member of the Réseau Art Nouveau Network and has a rich legacy of Art Nouveau architecture. The city is situated where the basin of the Crișul Repose and the Crișana plain converge. 

Situated 126 meters above sea level, Oradea’s hills, which are a component of the Şes hills, encircle the area from the northeast. The majority of the hamlet is located on the terraces downriver from the Crișul Repede river and the floodplain. Oradea’s thermal springs are well-known. The city’s beautiful attractiveness is provided by the river Crişul Repede, which flows directly through its heart. Seasonal variations in the flow are caused by the dykes at Tileagd, which have partially controlled it since their construction in the early 1980s.
