Athens, Georgia is home to the main campus of the University of Georgia, a public land-grant research university. Established in 1785, the University of Georgia stands as one of the nation’s most ancient public universities. As the flagship of the University of Georgia System in Georgia, it is regarded as a Public Ivy, or a public university that provides an education on par with that of an Ivy League school. 

Classified as one of the “R1 Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity,” the University of Georgia falls into the most selective admissions category for undergraduate admissions, with “more selective” admissions; additionally, the ACT Assessment Student Report places university of Georgia admissions in the Highly Selective category, which is the highest classification.

Step 4: You will receive an invitation letter within 30 days after approval from the university.

Step 5: Apply for a student visa and come to the university after you get the visa.

Step 6: Upon arrival at the university, students must pass the entrance exam for admission.

Step 7: If you have passed the entrance exam, sign a contract with the university to become a student of the university.
