It is an educational organization that is well-known for providing high-quality medical education, also known as the School of Military Medicine (VMMU). It was formed in 1948, and for the past 74 years, Vietnam Military Medical University has remained committed to success and national service. The Ministry of Health and the Department of Defense created it as a military medical school for medical officers alone.
However, in late 1982, the university was renamed the Vietnam Military Medical College and now provides general practitioner training. Despite being a young university in comparison to other medical universities, it is one of the top five in Vietnam. More than 25,000 physicians and pharmacists, as well as over 90,000 medical officers, have graduated from the university. VMMU is honored to host over 900 research and over 200 completed innovation projects, and it has garnered multiple national honors for outstanding scientific progress.
Admission criteria for medical students at the university are relatively challenging, as they include factors such as height, weight, and vision. Due to entrance standards, only 210 of his applications are chosen for public health roles and 400 for general practitioner positions each year.
