Established in 1984, Wenzhou University is a public, non-profit higher education institution in the city of Wenzhou, Zhejiang, which has a population of 1,000,000 to 5,000,000 people. Wenzhou University (WZU), which is officially recognized by the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, is a very large (uni Rank enrollment range: 30,000–34,999 students) Chinese college for both men and women. 

Wenzhou University (WZU) has classes and programs that lead to degrees from colleges and universities that are recognized by the government. Students can also use WZU’s academic and non-academic facilities and services, such as its library, housing, and administrative services. When it opened in 1933 by famous businessman Mr. Huang Suchu, Wenzhou University had merged and combined 6 schools to make it what it is today. The Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) has approved WZU as one of the first Chinese Language and Culture Education Bases that can take in Chinese Government Scholarship students. 

It is also allowed to take in Chinese students from other countries as well as students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Students from outside of China who want to study at WZU can apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship, the Confucius Institute Scholarship, the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship, or the Wenzhou University Scholarship for International Students. It has academic programs in 9 different fields, such as art, literature, science, engineering, law, education, economics, history, management, and engineering. It has 57 programs for first-year students and 46 programs for graduate students. There are 1,719 full-time faculty and staff. Every year, it has about 14,000 first-year students, 1,500 graduate students, 500 international students, and about 13,000 part-time students who are continuing their education. 

Wenzhou University is a strong supporter of the strategy of internationalizing education and is actively involved in many international exchanges and partnerships. Since June 2017, WZU has built exchange and cooperation links with more than 70 universities and research institutes from around 20 countries and regions, including those in the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, and Korea. Recently, Wenzhou University opened an Italy Campus in partnership with the University of Siena in Italy. 

It is now home to a China-U.S. cooperatively run school called Wenzhou-Kean University, an International Sales and Marketing Management undergraduate program between China and Denmark, an Electronic Information Engineering undergraduate program between China and Taiwan, a Confucius Institute with Burapha University in Thailand, and a 3+1 dual bachelor’s degree program between China and Thailand.

One part of the Wenzhou University System is the College of International Cooperation. Its main goals are to promote international cooperation, communication, and the education of international students. International students do a lot of different things on campus, and they have a full and interesting life there. 

All of these things help China and other countries share their cultures with each other. There are more than 325 international students at Wenzhou University right now. The global reach of Wenzhou University is growing, and the school is always looking for ways to make its programs more international. It works with colleges, universities, and research centers in many places, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Russia, Japan, Korea, and Thailand.

  • Students must have passed the NEET exam.
  • The student must have reached the age of 17 on 31 December of the year of admission.
  • The candidate must have completed the 12th grade with at least 65% from a regular board.
  • Students must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 12th grade.

Step 1: Choose your program and fill out the application form.

Step 2: Fill in the visa invitation inquiry form.

Step 3: Get all the required documents and mail them to the university along with the above forms.

Step 4: You will receive an invitation letter within 30 days after approval from the university.

Step 5: Apply for a student visa and come to the university after you get the visa.

Step 6: Upon arrival at the university, students must pass the entrance exam for admission.

Step 7: If you have passed the entrance exam, sign a contract with the university to become a student of the university.

Step 8: Pay the tuition fee along with any other required fees.

International students can live in the Residence Hall at Wenzhou University. Residence Hall has a public living room with couches and tables, a kitchen with microwaves, and a laundry room that looks like a Laundromat and has coin washers. The rooms are in good shape and are clean. They can stay in one of the standard double bedrooms. There is air conditioning, a TV, a fridge, a phone, Internet access that is hard-wired, two beds, a desk, and a closet in these rooms. The private bathroom has a shower that has hot water 24 hours a day. These rooms are a good place for international students to live and study. Talking to each other also lets them learn about other cultures and make new friends. 

At Wenzhou University, all of the dining halls are open to international students. It has 4 dining halls for students and many dining rooms with different tastes. They will be able to meet the food needs of students from all over the world. In addition to the Dining Hall on the first floor of the Experts’ Building, there are other dining halls or canteens for students to use. These include the A District Hall, the B District Hall, and the C District Hall. There are ultra-red sterilized cabinets in all of the dining halls and canteens to make sure that the food is always clean. They can use E-cards to buy food. In these halls and canteens, international students can eat tasty Chinese food with a variety of tastes.
