Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, a top government medical institution in Delhi, was established in November 2001 at Safdarjung Hospital and was formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 17 December 2001. with the main objective of providing a good education along with a clinical experience.
The college started its first MBBS batch in 2002 and since then thousands of doctors have passed out and are serving in India and abroad.
